Belari Teak Meditation Bench – Meditation Seat – Meditation Stool – Kneeling Meditation Chair – Portable Folding Meditation Bench – Seiza Yoga Meditation Bench – Prayer Bench
BELARI TEAK MEDITATION BENCH – Belari Teak Meditation Benches are made from 100% sustainably sourced solid teak hardwood.
ERGONOMIC – Belari Teak Meditation Stools allow you to meditate, pray, or stretch in the seiza / kneeling position with comfort. This kneeling meditation seat helps you achieve pain free, upright alignment of the spine while kneeling.
LOW MAINTENANCE – Belari Teak Meditation Benches are low maintenance and easy to keep looking brand new. Other lower quality meditation seats have a cotton or fabric seat cover that will develop a smell over time. Our solid Teak benches are made to withstand a lifetime of use without any unwanted smell or discoloration.
PORTABLE / FOLDING LEGS – The Belari Kneeling Meditation Chair is fully portable. The legs are hinged and fold under the seat for storage or transport. Take your meditation bench to the park, to the beach, meditation classes, or with you when you travel. Magnets under the seat secure the legs while folded so that the bench remains compact when not in use or in transport.
NO ASSEMBLY REQUIRED – Belari Teak Meditation Benches come fully assembled and ready to use right out of the box! (SEAT DIMENSIONS: 17″ x 6″) Great for all ages and all heights up to 6’3″!

This bench appears to be real, if young, teak wood. It has a stain and sealant applied to make it look like it’s from an older tree, and to improve surface durability.Of the two I bought, one had the stain applied unevenly, so I sanded the piece back to the bare wood. (You’ll know you’ve found it when the sandpaper stops gumming up with resin.) That looked a lot better. Then I rubbed a thin layer of linseed oil over it, waited a few hours, and wiped the excess off. Silky smooth the next day. After doing that weekly for about four months, it will have a nice patina that can be maintained with a fresh layer perhaps every other month. I’ll probably do the same to the second one, so that they match.Just make sure the legs are held fully extended before you put any weight on it at all. I got careless the other day and collapsed the leg of one—I sat back down with the leg off-kilter and the hinge screws ripped right out of the seat.I don’t feel like faffing around with superglue & baking soda just to make the damaged screw holes sound enough to drill out and jam screws back into. So my current plan is to remove both sets of hinges and glue the legs in place. I don’t need the super-compact storage, even though it was nice to have.

I like it. It works and is sturdy and convenient. I fly with it in my carry-on. Wish I would have bought one with a butt cushion but I can figure something out.
