The way the cushion is attached, simple elastic, means it does not stay in place when sitting, it slides forward – especially because the bamboo seat is slick/smooth. Otherwise, like others mentioned, it’s heavy but it seems solid and sturdy. One of the few ones with the rounded bottom that I could find so it will have to do, I just have to maybe glue the cushion down…

As a chiropractor, I’m always seeking the best tools for good spinal alignment. While this could be a bit lighter, I don’t know if it would be as stable. This feels solid enough for prolonged sitting for my daily Buddhist practice. Because this involves sitting upright and focusing on using my voice, without distraction. It has a clean look, and smooth finish, even the foam pad has a zippered cover that can me washed. This was built to last for many years, bravo!
